Dr. Arielle Petropolis always knew that she wanted to help others achieve optimal health and
function from growing up in a healthcare-oriented family plus early exposure to a variety of
sports, including squash, swimming, and basketball. Her appreciation of the importance of
quality of movement and function grew through previous injury while training for and competing
at two Canada Winter Games as a member of the NS squash team.
During her undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University, Dr. Petropolis had opportunities to
work in various multidisciplinary clinics and was inspired by the effectiveness of chiropractic
care and its role in a team approach. She furthered her education at the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic. At this time, she also
completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University and
received training in Mental Health First Aid. Dr. Petropolis has since taken additional courses in
concussion management and is a certified Complete Concussion Management TM provider. Her
chiropractic treatments can include spinal manipulation, neurofunctional acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, education, and rehabilitation.
Dr. Petropolis is passionate about treating everybody for their healthcare needs. She has a special
interest in neck and back pain, nerve-related pain, headaches, jaw (TMJ) issues, and concussions (new or persistent). Dr. Petropolis believes that education, collaboration, and finding and easing barriers to movement is important for patient-centered care. She looks forward to helping people achieve their goals related to health, recovery, performance, and feeling their best!
